05 Sep Double Bookings of Tennis Courts

For some time now we have noticed that some groups of players book (in different names) both an indoor and an outdoor court for the same game and time. They then either cancel one court a few hours before the game (when they are confident of the weather forecast), or don’t bother cancelling one of the courts at all. This is unfair to other members who cannot be expected to keep checking on court availability before they can arrange a game at short notice.

Offenders are asked to please stop doing this.

Also, members generally are reminded to cancel courts they no longer need, as soon as is feasible. On fine bright evenings, it is a pity to see booked courts not in use.
